Have you ever cooked something but added so much salt that it becomes inedible?
That’s what some of you are doing to your CV’s and Cover Letters.
Really overdoing it with the use of AI.
Yes, I get it- using stuff like ChatGPT can help structure ideas, proof read and clean up your writing. Like a sprinkle of salt, a sprinkle of AI is fine.
However, overusing ChatGTP generated answers in job applications is rife now and our partners are constantly seeing answers that have obviously taken very little effort, practically copy and pasted.
Listen, I know this doesn’t apply to everyone, I’ve seen so many great applications that have creative flair and have a more human writing style- if that is you, keep it up!
But those of you who are taking the path of little resistance. I believe that you can do much better.
So yeah, just stop overdoing it. We can tell.
Take my advice and let your personality shine through your writing! 🌟
Red Bull roles have closed… ☹️
I hope you managed to apply in time, as Red Bull and Diageo have just closed all their roles apart from the Diageo Supply Chain graduate role (go apply before that closes too!)
Capital One graduate roles have closed but they still have a Technology Placement which is open to any students with a placement/sandwich year as part of their degree course, and due to graduate in 2027. They also still have applications open for their Technology and Strategy internships (open to any penultimate year university students). These are set to close on the 4th Nov but are very likely to close early!
